penmigo.Meet digital me

A small penguin. A very close call.

I was under
the pillows.
They were off
to the airport.

Hello. I’m Pen. A much-loved plush penguin.
And, apparently, a very forgettable hotel guest.

Allow me to explain It’s a short story. I have short flippers.
Yes. They nearly
forgot me.

01 / Before the pillow incident

From Hokkaido,
with flippers.

My family found me at Asahiyama Zoo in Hokkaido, Japan, and brought me home. Excellent taste, if you ask me.

I’m one of their many plushies. A whole soft, slightly overcrowded family. But I get to travel with the humans, too. New places. Family photos. A very respectable amount of luggage for someone who wears nothing.

Small penguin. Big itinerary.

02 / London. Our last morning.

I would like to file
a tiny complaint.

The bags were packed. The family was leaving the hotel and heading straight to the airport. Last morning. Last moment. Everyone ready.

Everyone, apparently, except me.

I was under the pillows. On the bed.
I don’t have a phone. Or a particularly commanding voice.

A final check saved the day. And one very quiet penguin.

Oh, NOW you remember you have a penguin.
Yes. I’m coming with you.

Recreated for dramatic purposes.

03 / A happy ending. And a little beginning.

I made it home.
The “what if?” came with us.

What if they hadn’t checked? What if, one day, a much-loved plushie has to go to a new home—or is simply too worn for one more repair?

My human wanted a way to keep a little of us close.
So, rather sweetly, they started making Penmigo.

Named after me. As it should be.

A look inside my app

Your plushie.
A new little
place to stay.

Penmigo turns photos of your plushie into a stylized 3D digital companion. A familiar little face to spend time with, take on adventures, and keep a story beside.

Still your friend. Just with a little more room in the suitcase.

A familiar face. Right where you left it.

That’s me in My companions. My human can find me here, open my companion, or add another member of our very soft family.

For the love that stays

Sometimes, letting go
needs a little holding on.

I know. We’re “just” plushies. Except we’re also the bedtime friend, the travel buddy, the gift from someone you miss.

If your plushie needs a new home someday, or the time comes to say goodbye, it’s okay to feel something. A digital companion can be a small way to keep their face and your memories close.

I can’t promise a digital hug feels the same.
But I think having us nearby might help.

You ask. I attempt to answer.

A few things
you might be wondering.

I have consulted my human.
Can I bring my own plushie?

That’s the idea. Penguins, bears, and the wonderfully hard-to-describe. Penmigo is being built to create a stylized 3D companion from photos of your own plushie. We’re still refining how well different shapes come through.

Will it look exactly like my plushie?

It will be a stylized likeness, rather than an exact scan. Good photos from a few angles help. My human is still improving the details—naturally, I have opinions about my beak.

Can I download Penmigo yet?

Not just yet. The app is still in development, starting with iPhone. This is a first hello, and a peek at what we’re making. There isn’t a public download or a release date to announce yet.

Will my companion need the internet?

Creating a 3D companion uses online AI processing after you choose to upload photos. Once downloaded, saved companions can play locally. I appreciate a home that doesn’t need airport Wi-Fi.

Can I keep a copy of my companion?

The app supports exporting saved companions so you can keep your own backup. Please do keep a copy somewhere safe. Even a digital penguin likes a backup plan.

Have you forgiven the pillow incident?

They built an entire app and named it after me. I’d say negotiations are going rather well.

A little friend. A place to stay.

Here’s to never being
left behind.

I’m Pen. This is Penmigo.
And yes, we check under the pillows now.
